Specially designed by Jayne Hume, the award-winning founder of The Women’s Wellness Coach, The Postnatal Workout is a weekly postnatal exercise class which has supported hundreds of women throughout their postnatal recovery.
The workout incorporates several exercise styles, including stretching and releasing, cardio and strength, conditioning and core and pelvic floor work, as well as post-exercise relaxation to ensure you exercise safely and effectively. Every birth and recovery are different, so we encourage you to work at your own pace. For natural births, the earliest you can begin The Postnatal Workout is 6 weeks post-birth, however this would be longer for C-sections or more complex recoveries.
As standard, we will carry out a Postnatal Assessment as part of your first session including . an abdominal and postural muscle check and a pelvic floor screening form. Where we feel you need further help, we can refer you to our Women’s Health Physiotherapists. We will also give you specialist advice and nutritional support during your assessment, ensuring that your recovery through our Postnatal Workout is tailored to your needs.
The Postnatal Workout is expert-led, social and fun – not only is the workout a specialised class it is also an excellent way for you to meet other mums for friendship and support.
Baby comes too ! We offer a supervised baby play area in the room with you with a fully checked babysitter to watch over your little ones while you enjoy your class. We categorically do NOT use babies in any exercises nor do we exercise around them as it simply is not safe for them or effective for you.

This programme is dedicated to helping you understand what’s happened to your body . Knowing the Why’s and What’s matter A LOT! It will help you connect the dots between your breathing, posture and possible backpain and Pelvic Floor dysfunction. This soft-tissue therapy is included in the programme based on what is best for you.
The programme starts by getting the basics of posture and alignment improved including soft-tissue work/remedial massage and to bring balance to your entire body.
It’s a multi-phase programme where the exercises are progressed. Jayne your Coach is with you all of the way, ensuring your progress towards your goal and also that your route to success is adjusted as required.
